‘venturyst festival embodies the excitement of science and discovery. From the latest technology to ground-breaking science and seemingly incomprehensible ideas ‘venturyst explores the art of the possible, the potential of the probable and the ‘awesome’ of making it happen.

The festival programme is run over 5 days and aims to attract over 6,000 participants.

From its place at the centre of UK mining history and the Camborne School of Mines to pioneering satellite communications at Goonhilly and unique Air and Maritime Enterprise Zones, the Wave Hub and recent ranking as the 2nd fastest Tech-Hub in the UK1 Cornwall has a past, present and future founded on science and technology. Cornwall is home to 270+ schools, 30+ colleges, academies and senior schools and 6 universities.
Venue & Location
The main festival will take place at Trelowarren Estate, Helston. Trelowarren is unique. On the south bank of the Helford River that was made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s novel Frenchman’s Creek, this is the historic estate that inspired her iconic tale of handsome smugglers, secret assignations in wooded creeks and political intrigue. She called Trelowarren, ‘a jewel’ and here it still is – 1000 acres of beauty and tranquillity. ‘venturyst WILD, the fringe festival will be hosted from Penryn Campus, Cornwall with events taking place in communities and at campus’ across Cornwall.
